I should be better at answering these kinds of questions than I am. I used to get them all the time when I was running theatres: at least twice a day, people would call and ask, “Is [this movie, whatever we were playing that week] appropriate for. King of the Godfathers: Big Joey Massino and the Fall of the Bonanno Crime Family (Pinnacle True Crime) by DeStefano, Anthony M. and a great selection of related books, art and collectibles available now at

Personally, since Puzo only wrote one Godfather book, I don't consider it a series. His research on the Mafia led to him writing other Mafia-related books. In publication order: The Sicilian, The Last Don, Omerta. The Family was finished by another author after his death. The later/posthumous "Godfather" books are written by others. "The Godfather Returns" is a bit of an anomaly. It is a sequel to the classic tale of crime and corruption 'The Godfather' by Mario Puzo. It is a novel that takes place between the Godfather book and the Godfather II film. So, it is a sequel to the BOOK while being a prequel to the second FILM. Sounds like nonsense, right? I /5.
